Day 3

I should have slept in the spare room again.

Why does Paddy suddenly not sleep through the night and why does Edi-Rae seem to think 4:30 is an acceptable time to wake up?

Everyone weas in good spirits as we usually are on a Sunday morning. I really needed to go grocery shopping so I thought I would give Nick a break and invited Paddy with me. Can safely say I won’t be making that mistake again. He had about 8 tantrums during the duration of the shop because he wanted to eat every single thing I put in to the trolly including uncooked chicken tenders and even an onion. Go on then, take the onion darl and see how that goes I felt like saying but I didn’t.

Later in the day we were supposed to head out to the park to see family but it started raining. I ended up having a day sleep with Paddy which lasted 10 mins and then next doors dog went crazy when my grocery box arrived so up I was to do more house work. The 10 mins was nice. I always thought parenting would look like spending quality time with my kids but I have learnt it is basically just house work while you try to keep kids happy and alive.

Paddy was absolutely disastrous by the end of the day because of being stuck inside all day with the rain so it was all go go go until bed time which again was an absolute nightmare because apparently if you are 2 bed is the worst thing in the world. Have a day in my shoes Paddy and I can tell you right now, you won’t be refusing bed.

Loving the blog, I’m a single mum to an 18month old. But it’s comfortable knowing all mums are going through the same thing. Giggles

Love this! I’m in the catnapping era and lol when people say ‘sleep when the baby sleeps’ haha yeah ok because 30 mins is enough time to do that and every other prick of a job I have to do!
