Day 37

So I missed writing pretty much the whole weekend. We had the funeral on Friday which was really sad. It was so hard seeing our friend and her family struggling so much. I was trying to hard to keep it together but I was a mess seeing them in so much pain. It was an amazing celebration in the end and the tears turned in to hugs and smiles as we remembered his life.

Nick and I left with our friends and went back to their place to have some more drinks which was a nice way to end the day. Then we went back to our house to let our wonderful Abby go. Then we made the mistake of staying up and drinking more and woke up feeling VERY sorry for ourselves the next day. We haven’t been hungover in a long time… and here we were. Every time I am hungover I am reminded of why I choose to not have late nights drinking. I ordered a double cheeseburger for breakfast to try and make myself feel better but unfortunately it didn’t work.

We are not a TV all day family but on Saturday we were a TV all day family. It got to the afternoon and due to our lack of parenting and the TV doing all of the work, the kids were getting a bit rogue. We decided we should go out for dinner just to get out of the house and give the kids a change of atmosphere and I’m so glad we did. We actually had a really nice time and the kids really enjoyed themselves.

We went to time zone after dinner too, and I won paddy a toy from one of those claw machines how bloody good!!! It was a ninja turtle, I was sooooo stoked. Paddy loves it. Edi-Rae keeps trying to take it off him to cuddle and kiss though so I think Donatello will be causing some rifts here. Nick and I were so happy when the kids bed time came omggggg. We went straight to sleep and thank goodness both kids slept through which never happens. They definitely did it on the right night. Bless their little souls.

Sunday came and we still felt like shit. I tell you what, a big night hits differently these days. We got out of the house as much as we could and ended up having a beautiful day together. I loooove family days, when it’s the four of us. It’s such a special time. Monday came around and Nick woke up to go to work and kindly woke Edi-Rae up when he was getting ready which was at 4:25 🙃. I was quite unimpressed. I could hear his footsteps and they were so loud. Like, is he jumping from room to room? Anyway she wouldn’t go back to sleep so I took her in with me and out on coco melon so I could shut my eyes a bit longer. She was not happy with the lack of attention from me as I think she thinks it’s 7am but no darling, it’s still sleep time. Today I got so much work done. All the Black Friday sales are coming up so I’ve had a lot of content to film. It was actually a really productive day which hasn’t been the case in a while so I was very proud of myself. My brain hasn’t been working lately so this is such an achievement. The kids had a great day with Abby and then she left and Nick came to take paddy to the doctors. He has been waking up screaming and so upset most nights. I have noticed he is snoring and grinding his teeth so I wanted to get a referral to the ENT to get him checked. He has been behaving really out of sorts lately, so I feel like he isn’t getting a good quality sleep. I hope someone can help because it’s been an absolute nightmare!
