Day 58

Woke up pretty good today so we decided to go to the groceries with the kids. I got a smoothie and was actually in so much pain drinking it for some reason so I put it in the drink holder in the trolly while we shopped. Next thing I know Nick knocks it out of the holder, it falls on to the ground and goes EVERYWHERE in Woolies. It was an absolute disaster. We were in the nappy isle luckily so grabbed some wipes off the shelf and tried our best to clean it up before the staff could help us. They didn’t seem very happy with us which I get. By this point I realised I should have stayed home and this was probably a bit too much for me right now. We got home, had a play and then it was time for naps.

When Edi-Rae woke from her nap she was really irritable and it looked like she was struggling to breathe. I could hear a wheeze so freaked out and took her to the hospital to get checked. The doctor said he thinks she might have bronchiolitis when listening to her chest. He then suggested we trial an asthma puffer to see if that helps her breathing. I agreed. A nurse had to help me give it to her because she absolutely hated it. It was so fucked, I felt sick because we had to hold her down and it broke my heart. My pain relief had worn off by this point too so my throat was absolutely killing me. The doctor listened to her after having the puffer and said she sounds way better so thinks she might have asthma. We have the puffer now so next time this happens at least we can just give her that. When I got home I was in desperate need of an endone and to sit down from the pain. A few hours later I got a text from my sister letting me know that my Aunty died. My heart shattered thinking of my Baba (Grandma) who has been sick in hospital going through losing her sister. Nick and I got to see my Aunty in Croatia back in 2018 which I am so grateful for. I can’t even imagine how sad Baba must be feeling right now losing her sister. My heart is so heavy tonight. Rest in Peace Tetka Ana 🖤

So sorry for your loss Tara x my 12 yr old had bronchitis when he was 1 1/2 and ended up on a puffer with a spacer. One night while sick he was in bed next to me and he kicked me, I woke up realised he wasn’t breathing and quickly gave him the puffer. I am so thankful I had him next to me & he woke me up. Anyway maybe 5 months later we attended a church and he was healed of the asthma and never needed the puffer again.
Just wanted to share my story x and say well done getting through the surgery I am proud of you x don’t worry about the smoothie spill others have done worse x keep resting I hope and pray you recover and heal soon x
