Today is the day we head to our amazing Villa on the Coral Coast. We booked this is at the start of the year with Nicks family. Its an all inclusive villa right on the beach with a pool too. They have staff who service the villa, you don’t even need to wash a dish. All year I have been dreaming of this day, this holiday is a dream come true. The van doesn’t arrive to us until 11 so we have the morning to spend at our current hotel. We noticed a big pool so we thought we should take the kids for a swim. Paddy is really emotional again today, he doesn’t seem himself. We gave him Panadol and after a while that kicked in and he was happy. Paddy doesn’t love swimming & water so he isn’t very adventurous when it comes to pools. He plays on the step and gets carried around but thats it really. This pool happened to have a water slide. Not a huge one. There was a boy and his mum going down on it and we got chatting to her. She said is was really slow and calm to go down on. We saw them go down a few times and Paddy was curious because it did look really fun but also safe and not too extreme. I said I was going to go down holding Edi-Rae and started walking up and then Paddy suggested he goes with Dadda. This was so exciting to hear because he never wants to do things like this in the water, so Nick and I looked at each other with so much joy. I went down with Edi-Rae first and unlike the lady said, we got some pace. I also didn’t realise it was so deep at the end, I went to stand up and I couldn’t. I was trying so hard to hold her above the water and kick my legs to reach the wall. She was not happy at all, it scared her shitless. Next thing I know I hear the biggest splash and see Paddys hat floating in the water near us then hear hear nick scream “holy shit” and hear Paddy screaming bloody murder. They got so much speed on the slide that paddy went flying out of Nicks arms and in to the water. He can’t swim and doesn’t ever get his face wet so you can imagine how scared the poor little thing was. Nick looked like he had seen a ghost and grazed all of his elbows from trying to slow them both down as they went down the slide. After crying for around 20 mins Paddy was happy again and we had a nice time playing in the water.
We still had an hour to kill between check out and the van so we got some food and cocktails while we waited. By this time we were in party mode so the drinks were going down a treat. We asked the driver to stop at the bottle shop so we could get some drinks for the house for everyone and also have some on the ride there. Mid trip I had to pee. I asked the driver if there were any toilets and he said no. I held on as long as I could but then I just said pull over because I was about to pee myself. I got out and realised I was wearing an activewear one piece jumpsuit. I tried to pull the leg aside instead of fully undress to be completely naked. What a disaster this was… I pissed all over myself. Not a dribble either, it was full on piss. Luckily I had a shirt to sit on and tie around me for the last part of the trip and our arrival. I couldn’t believe I was getting out of the car to this beautiful private villa with piss all over me. All of the beautiful staff greeted us and said “BULA!” As they put shell necklaces around our necks and little do they know, I am covered in piss. I got changed in to my swimmers and swam myself clean while we waited for the family to arrive. Apart from pissing myself and Paddy’s slide trauma and big emotions, we managed to have a great day.
