Day 86

We had a really nice weekend seeing many of our friends that we haven’t been able to see in so long. I went for a walk with one of my besties on Sunday morning (kid free) and my cup was so full afterwards. It was such a big reminder to me how important it is to stay connected to friends. It’s so hard to say not to say no to everything because of guilt and the business of being a Mum, so I need to remember to do these things more often. Nick went to the gym when I arrived home so we each had some personal time and moved our bodies ready for a big week ahead. I also had my other bestie come over which was soooo nice! After a weekend of seeing so many friends it got me thinking about the importance of human interaction and how much we need to feel a sense of belonging as human beings. Motherhood can be so isolating. It's so hard to get out and about with kids, and when you do its so hard to even have a conversation so it's easier to just stay home. It’s so true when they say it takes a village. We need a village as we need to feel like we belong somewhere.
